As President of the Society of Women Engineers at FIU, I work to create spaces where women in engineering can connect, learn, lead, and grow. I joined SWE as a freshman looking for new opportunities and experiences, never expecting it to become such an important part of my life. It has allowed me to meet so many kind, intelligent, and inspiring women who share similar experiences and goals in STEM. SWE has challenged me, helped me grow, and shaped the person I am today. I truly wouldn’t be the same without this organization, and I hope to give others the same sense of community and support that SWE gave me. Through mentorship, outreach, and community, I believe engineering is better when everyone has a seat at the table.

As a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., I’m committed to lifelong sisterhood, service, and scholarship. Every day, this organization inspires me to network, stay involved, step outside of my comfort zone, and lead by example. Being a part of Delta Sigma Theta has challenged me to hold myself to a higher standard and reminds me that true leadership is rooted in service, purpose, and accountability. I’m grateful to be surrounded by women who inspire me to grow, give back, and leave every space better than I found it.
